There’s More to the Story

Tales from the seldom asked.

About

For 25 years, people have been at the heart of New Hope Housing’s mission. We help our residents mend their lives by providing beautiful, high-quality affordable housing and social services. We approach our work strategically and with level heads, and our results have real human impact. In 2017, New Hope Housing served nearly 1,100 residents at our seven apartment communities and had a 96% overall occupancy rate.

Beyond bricks and mortar, our on-site Resident Services Program offers specialized support services to help people climb out of the tenuous situation of life on the streets and on the edge, to repurpose and stabilize their lives. Once people have a place to call their own, a place they can be proud of, they can begin to move forward to heal other parts of their life as well.

We are continuing to grow and broaden our scope to address the increasing problem of family homelessness. While we have focused for the past 25 years on providing single room occupancy (SRO) housing for individuals in crisis, we are now expanding our mission to meet the needs of vulnerable families with children.

This spring we are opening a community that will include 187 apartment units with one, two and three bedrooms plus 18,000 square feet of shared spaces for robust educational programming.

With community support, we will continue to do what we do best: solving a housing problem that affects more and more people in our city with our unique brand of informed business skills, smart architecture and strong collaborations.
